  • Why does a renovation project cost so much?

    We understand that the cost can sometimes be overwhelming for a potential customer that may not understand the process. Our job is to communicate that process and find ways to achieve the customers vision and work within their budget. There are many ways to achieve a certain look or design. It is our job to give our potential customers options and explanations as it pertains to cost, market changes, material grades.

  • What is the timeline for the project?

    Communication and preparation is key! We pride ourselves in both. Timelines should be discussed prior to starting a project and both parties should understand that timely decisions and correct scheduling is paramount.

  • What is the total budget for construction?

    Again, preparation is key! Our proposals include allowances ($ amts.) on materials/choices that may not have been decided at the bidding stage. Always keep in mind that their can be underlying issues that neither contractor or homeowner can prepare for during the initial bid process and allow part of the budget to accomodate. With over 50 years of combined experience, we typically can explain these problem areas and make for fewer surprises during construction.

     

  • How is renovation project initiated?

    We provide a written proposal in detail that is easy to understand and that covers the entire “scope of work”. This “proposal” can be signed and accepted to move forward on scheduling and timelines. On larger jobs, their can be some additional contracts that need to be signed. These contracts and proposals are to provide security for both parties. Never enter into a verbal contract without a written scope of work.
